Community Roots Powers. Subject to the conditions and provisions of this contract, Community Roots through its Board of Directors shall be fiscally responsible for its own operations within the limitations of any funding provided by the District and other revenues derived by Community Roots consistent with law. Community Roots shall have authority to exercise independently, also consistent with federal and state law, the following powers (including such other powers as provided for elsewhere in this contract): contract for goods and services necessary for the operation of Community Roots; prepare a budget; procure liability insurance; lease facilities for school purposes; purchase, lease or rent furniture, equipment and supplies; retain fees collected from students in accordance with law; organize and carry out fund raising efforts; and accept and expend gifts, donations or grants of any kind in accordance with such conditions prescribed by the donor as are consistent with law and not contrary to any of the terms of this contract. Community Roots has sole authority to hire, fire and discipline teachers, personnel and staff who are Community Roots employees.

  • Management; Community Policies Owner may retain employees and management agents from time to time to manage the Property, and Owner’s agent may retain other employees or contractors. Resident, on behalf of himself or herself and his or her Guests, agrees to comply fully with all directions from Owner and its employees and agents, and the rules and regulations (including all amendments and additions thereto, except those that substantially modify the Resident’s bargain and to which Resident timely objects) as contained in this Agreement and the Community Policies of the Property.   • Community Relations Chancellor shall establish and maintain an appropriate community relations program. Chancellor shall attend important college and community events, develop relationships with other key public and private agencies in each of the District's relevant communities where colleges are located and be significantly involved in the District's relevant local communities.

  • Community Engagement The HSP will engage the community of diverse persons and entities in the area where it provides health services when setting priorities for the delivery of health services and when developing plans for submission to the Funder including but not limited to CAPS and integration proposals. As part of its community engagement activities, the HSPs will have in place and utilize effective mechanisms for engaging families, caregivers, clients, residents, patients and other individuals who use the services of the HSP, to help inform the HSP plans.
