Community service activity. An Employee who engages in an eligible community service activity post 1 January 2010 is entitled to be absent from his or her employment for a period if the period consists of time when the Employee engages in the activity, or reasonable travelling time associated with the activity, or reasonable rest time immediately following the activity, and unless the activity is jury service—the Employee’s absence is reasonable in all the circumstances. Other than for jury service, community service leave is unpaid.
