Compassionate Leave. 26.1 Full-time and part-time employees Employees are entitled to take up to two a single, unbroken period of 2 days paid compassionate leave for or 2 separate periods of 1 day each of paid leave per occasion where if a member of their the Employee’s immediate family or household the Employees household: • contracts or develops a life threatening personal illness that poses a serious threat to their life; or • sustains a personal injury that poses a serious threat to their life; or • dies. Entitlement to compassionate leave is contingent on the Employee providing the Employer with any evidence that the Employer reasonably requires of the illness, sustains a life threatening injury or dies. The two days need not be consecutivedeath.
