Compassionate Leave. 26.1 Full-time and part-time employees are 18.1 An employee is entitled to take up to two days of paid compassionate leave for each permissible occasion where when a member of their his or her immediate family or household contracts is suffering from a life serious or life-threatening personal injury or illness. 18.2 An employee is entitled to compassionate leave only if the employee provides to the employer any evidence that the employer reasonably requires of the illness, sustains a life threatening injury or dies.
