Prior Fiscal Year - When an employee promoted to a higher class during a prior fiscal year receives a lesser salary than if promoted in the same class and from the same salary step during the current fiscal year the employee’s salary shall be adjusted on July 1, to the rate the employee would have received had the employee been promoted in the current fiscal year.
