The Department shall have the right to disapprove the Concept Design submittal for any reason. f) Perform Alternative Mechanical Systems Evaluation Survey existing facility to confirm locations and types of hazardous materials to be abated or mitigated. Conduct a complete survey of the site as required to successfully renovate the aquatic center building. At a minimum, the survey shall include existing condition of the building and documentation of existing condition. Design- Builder shall be responsible for the collection, assessment, and verification of existing conditions. Design-Builder shall, with prior approval from the Department, perform selective demolition to verify existing conditions. Design-Builder shall be responsible for returning all disturbed elements to their original condition. Design-Builder shall include a Selective Demolition Allowance of $25,000 for limited demolition and restoration in their Design Fee. Costs for selective demolition shall be reimbursed at cost, without markup of any kind, and only costs from non-design subcontractors shall be eligible for reimbursement; costs from the architects, engineers and other design consultants shall be paid out of the Design Fee. Request and receive hydrant flow test. Review mechanical systems evaluation and recommend selection.
g) . Confer with audio-visual and acoustic consultants mechanical systems personnel from DGS to establish design requirements for the Project.
