Conducting the Interim Inspection for Punchlist Completion Clause Samples

The "Conducting the Interim Inspection for Punchlist Completion" clause defines the process by which an interim inspection is carried out to identify and verify the completion of outstanding items, commonly known as the punchlist, during a construction or project phase. Typically, this involves the contractor notifying the owner or architect when the work is substantially complete, after which a walkthrough is conducted to review and document any remaining tasks or deficiencies. The core function of this clause is to ensure that all minor issues are formally identified and addressed before final acceptance, thereby promoting accountability and facilitating a smooth project closeout.
