Connection Charges and Additional Capital Charges Clause Samples

The "Connection Charges and Additional Capital Charges" clause defines the financial obligations a party must fulfill to connect to a utility or service network, as well as any extra costs incurred for necessary infrastructure upgrades. Typically, this clause outlines when and how initial connection fees are assessed, and specifies circumstances under which additional capital contributions may be required—such as when increased capacity or system enhancements are needed to accommodate the user's requirements. Its core function is to allocate the costs of network access and expansion fairly, ensuring that parties benefiting from new or upgraded connections bear the associated expenses rather than shifting them to existing users or the service provider.
