CONSTRUCTION SPECIFIC CLAUSES. Definitions “Construction” for purposes of this agreement is defined as the work of construction, fabrication, erection and/or installation work or work incidental thereto when it is carried out at a construction site which is specifically established for the purpose of constructing, fabricating, erecting and/or installing the lifts. Construction work includes employees working in the modernisation of lifts and those involved in the upgrading of lifts. On non-VBIA sites the parties will confer and agree through the consultative committee as to whether the site is considered construction or service. Employees involved in routine servicing, performing maintenance, “on rounds”, breakdowns or who are “on-call” are not covered by this section of the agreement. Those employees are covered by Section 3 of the agreement.
