Construction specification. Detailed specifications for sidewalk construction will be established by the city engineer. Unless the city engineer specifies otherwise, the general standards shall be as follows: 1. Five feet in width, except that if a block face has existing sidewalk that is less than five feet in width the new sidewalk on such a block face may match the width of the existing sidewalk, or as specified in the Construction Standards and Policies Manual. 2. At least four inches in depth, or as specified in the Construction Standards and Policies Manual. 3. Perpendicular curb ramps must be constructed at street intersections, or as specified in the Construction Standards and Policies Manual. 4. Drive apron, including the sidewalk sections behind the drive apron, is at least six inches in depth, or as specified in the Construction Standards and Policies Manual.
