Common use of Consultant Not Agent Clause in Contracts

Consultant Not Agent. Except as authorized under this Agreement or as District may authorize in a letter of authorization signed by the General Manager or their designee, Consultant shall have no authority, express or implied to act on behalf of District in any capacity whatsoever as an agent. Consultant shall have no authority, express or implied, under this Agreement, to bind District to any obligation whatsoever.
