Continuance of Seniority Sample Clauses

The Continuance of Seniority clause ensures that an employee's length of service, or seniority, is preserved during certain periods when they are not actively working, such as during leaves of absence or transfers within the organization. For example, if an employee takes a medical leave or is temporarily assigned to a different department, their accumulated seniority is not reset or lost. This clause is important because it protects employees' rights to benefits, promotions, or other entitlements that are based on their total time with the employer, thereby preventing disadvantage due to approved absences or internal moves.
