Continuing Residents Clause Samples

The Continuing Residents clause defines the rights and obligations of tenants who remain in a rental property after the departure of one or more co-tenants. Typically, this clause clarifies whether the lease continues for the remaining residents, how rent and responsibilities are allocated among them, and what procedures must be followed if a new tenant is to be added. Its core practical function is to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing compliance with the lease terms, preventing confusion or disputes when the composition of the household changes.
