Continuity of Operations Plan Clause Samples

A Continuity of Operations Plan clause requires a party, typically a service provider, to maintain and implement procedures that ensure essential services or operations can continue during and after a disruptive event, such as a natural disaster or system failure. This clause often obligates the party to develop, regularly update, and test plans that address potential risks, including backup systems, alternative work sites, and communication protocols. Its core practical function is to minimize service interruptions and protect both parties from operational downtime, thereby ensuring business resilience and reliability.
