Continuous Illness Clause Samples

The Continuous Illness clause defines how an ongoing or prolonged illness of a party, typically an employee or contractor, is handled under the agreement. It usually sets a specific period—such as several weeks or months—during which the affected individual may be absent due to illness before certain actions can be taken, such as suspension of duties, reduction of pay, or even termination of the contract. This clause ensures that both parties have clear expectations regarding the consequences of extended illness, providing a fair process for managing long-term absences and minimizing uncertainty or disputes.
