CONTRACT OF SERVICE. WEEKLY EMPLOYMENT (1) An Employee not specifically engaged as a casual shall be deemed to be employed by the week. (2) All weekly hired Employees will be required to serve an initial probationary period of one (1) complete Work Cycle. (3) A casual Employee is one engaged and paid as such. (4) A casual Employee shall be paid the Ordinary Hourly Rate prescribed in clause 12 – Wage Rates, of this Agreement for the work performed, plus an all-purpose loading of 25%. (5) Casual Employees are not entitled to annual leave, sick leave, public holidays or other paid absences. (6) The Company is entitled to deduct payment for any day or part of a day an Employee cannot be usefully employed because of any strike or any breakdown in machinery or any stoppage of work by any cause for which the Company cannot be reasonably held responsible, as long as the Company has no useful alternative work available.
