Common use of Contract Officer Clause in Contracts

Contract Officer. The City's City Manager is hereby designated as the representative of the City authorized to act in its behalf with respect to the work and services and to make all decisions in connection therewith ("Contract Officer"). It shall be the Consultant's responsibility to assure that the Contract Officer is kept informed of the progress of the performance of the services and the Consultant shall refer any decisions which must be made by City to the Contract Officer. The City may designate another Contract Officer by providing written notice to Consultant.
