Curtailable Demand Clause Samples

Curtailable Demand. Pursuant to Sections 8.4.5 and 8.4.6 of the CAISO Tariff, Curtailable Demand that is scheduled or bid as Non-Spinning Reserve is required to comply with the CAISO’s communication and metering requirements.
Curtailable Demand. As required by Sections 8.3.4 and 8.4 of the CAISO Tariff, the Participating Load shall provide the CAISO with all technical and operational information requested in Schedule 1 for each Curtailable Demand that it owns, operates, or has a contractual entitlement to. For those Loads designated by the Participating Load as providing Curtailable Demand, Schedule 1 requires the Participating Load to indicate in Schedule 1 whether the Load can be scheduled or bid as Non-Spinning Reserve. Pursuant to Sections 8.9 and 8.10 of the CAISO Tariff, the CAISO may verify, inspect and test the capacity and operating characteristics provided in Schedule 1 for Curtailable Demands.

  • Under-Frequency and Over Frequency Conditions The New York State Transmission System is designed to automatically activate a load- shed program as required by the NPCC in the event of an under-frequency system disturbance. Developer shall implement under-frequency and over-frequency relay set points for the Large Generating Facility as required by the NPCC to ensure “ride through” capability of the New York State Transmission System. Large Generating Facility response to frequency deviations of predetermined magnitudes, both under-frequency and over-frequency deviations, shall be studied and coordinated with the NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner in accordance with Good Utility Practice. The term “ride through” as used herein shall mean the ability of a Generating Facility to stay connected to and synchronized with the New York State Transmission System during system disturbances within a range of under-frequency and over-frequency conditions, in accordance with Good Utility Practice and with NPCC Regional Reliability Reference Directory # 12, or its successor.
