Common use of Curtailments and Shutdowns Clause in Contracts

Curtailments and Shutdowns. If deliveries of Power and Energy through the T&D System are temporarily reduced, curtailed or shut down for any reason, including due to a Major Storm (as defined herein) or Storm Event (as defined herein), the Service Provider shall, with due consideration of its responsibility for safety and system reliability, as promptly as possible advise LIPA as to the nature, reason and probable duration thereof and the expected effect thereof on the operation of the T&D System. Such notices shall be given as provided in the Contract Administration Manual. Any announcement concerning such events made to the public or the media shall be made by the Service Provider in accordance with the provisions of Section 4.2(A) hereof.
