Customer Property Clause Samples

The 'Customer Property' clause defines how any property, materials, or information provided by the customer to the service provider will be handled during the course of a contract. This typically includes requirements for the service provider to safeguard, use only as instructed, and return or dispose of the customer's property as directed. For example, if a customer supplies specialized equipment or confidential data for a project, the clause ensures these assets are protected and managed appropriately. Its core function is to allocate responsibility and minimize risk of loss, misuse, or damage to customer-owned property during the engagement.
