CUSTOMER’S RIGHT TO CANCEL. Once you have signed the contract, you still may be able to reconsider that decision within three business days under the Minnesota Home Solicitation Sales Act. Generally, in all home solicitation sales, the seller must: (a) inform the buyer orally of the right to cancel; (b) provide a receipt or copy of a contract that references specific language regarding the right to cancel a contract; and (c) furnish the buyer with a fully completed form in duplicate captioned “Notice of Cancellation.” Until all three forms of notice are properly provided, you have an ongoing right to cancel the contract even if more than three business days have passed. Once the seller provides proper notice, the three business days right to cancel begins to run.
