CUTTING AND PATCHING OF WORK. 5.10.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for all cutting, fitting or patching that may be required to complete the Work or to make its several parts fit together properly. 5.10.2 The Contractor shall not damage or endanger any portion of the Work or the work of the Owner or any separate contractors or adjacent facilities by cutting, patching or otherwise altering any work, or by excavation. The Contractor shall not cut or otherwise alter the work of the Owner or any separate contractor except with the written consent of the Owner and of such separate contractor. The Contractor shall not unreasonably withhold from the Owner or any separate contractor its consent to cutting or otherwise altering the Work. 5.10.3 Structural elements of the Work shall not be cut, patched or otherwise altered or repaired without prior written authorization by the Owner. 5.10.4 Authorization to proceed with remedial operations for any damaged or defective element or portion of the Work shall not constitute a limitation or a waiver of the Contractor's right to require the removal and replacement of any Work which fails to fulfill the requirements of the Contract Documents.

4.10.1 Contractor shall be responsible for all cutting, fitting or patching that may be required to complete the Work or to make its several parts fit together properlyproperly and, to the extent required by the Contract Documents, for all cutting, fitting, or patching required in connection with work done by Owner or any separate contractor. Owner shall not be responsible for any costs arising out of cutting, fitting and patching the work of the various Subcontractors and no claims on account thereof will be considered.
5.10.2 The 4.10.2 Contractor shall not, and shall not permit any Subcontractor to, damage or endanger any portion of the Work or the work of the Owner or any separate contractors or adjacent facilities contractor by cutting, patching or otherwise altering any work, or by excavation. The Contractor shall not cut or otherwise alter the work of the Owner or any separate contractor except with the written consent of the Owner Contracting Officer and of such separate contractor. The Contractor shall not unreasonably withhold from the Owner or any separate contractor its consent to cutting or otherwise altering the Work.
5.10.3 Structural elements of the Work shall not be cut, patched or otherwise altered or repaired without prior written authorization by the Owner.
