Data Certification. 10.6.1. The Contractor must comply with the required format provided in the Encounter Data Transaction Guide published by HCA. Data includes encounters documenting services paid for by Great Rivers and delivered to clients during a specified reporting period, as well as other data set out in the Great Rivers and DBHR Data Dictionary and Service Encounter Reporting Instructions (SERI). This data is used for federal reporting (42 CFR 438.242(b) (1)); rate setting and risk adjustment; service verification; managed care quality improvement program; utilization patterns and access to care; HCA hospital rate setting; and research studies. 10.6.2. Any information and/or data required by this Contract and submitted to Great Rivers must be certified by the Contractor as follows (42 CFR § 438.242(b)(2) and 42 CFR § 438.600 through 606): 10.6.2.1. The information and/or data must be certified by one of the following: 10.6.2.1.1. The Contractor’s Chief Executive Officer. 10.6.2.1.2. The Contractor’s Chief Financial Officer. 10.6.2.1.3. An individual who has received delegated authority to sign for, and who reports directly to, the C ontractor’s Chief Executive Officer or Chief Financial 10.6.2.2. The Contractor’s certification must attest, based on best knowledge, information, and belief, to the accuracy, completeness and truth of the information and/or data. 10.6.2.3. Using the form provided by Great Rivers, the Contractor’s data certification report is due to Great Rivers within ten (10) days following the end of each month.
