Common use of Date of Commencement and Completion Clause in Contracts

Date of Commencement and Completion. Contractor shall commence its Work upon execution of this Agreement (“Commencement Date”), and the Work shall be performed regularly, diligently and without interruption at such a rate of progress to continuously perform the Work from the Commencement date until December 31, 2016 (“Termination Date”). Times stated in the Contract Documents are of the essence of this Agreement (“Contract Time”). Contractor shall not knowingly, except by agreement or instruction of Owner in writing, prematurely commence operations on the site or elsewhere prior to the effective date of insurance required by Section 7.
