Common use of Day of Rest Clause in Contracts

Day of Rest. (a) An Employee who is required to work overtime on their first scheduled day of rest shall be paid at the overtime rate as provided in Article 12.03. (b) An Employee who is required to work overtime on their second or subsequent day of rest is entitled to compensation at double time for all hours worked. Second or subsequent day of rest means the second or subsequent day in an unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest.
