Days Off Without Pay. Employees who have exhausted their sick leave, vacation leave and compensatory time accrued shall be allowed, at the discretion of the Department Head, with approval of the City Manager, to take up to a maximum of five (5) days per year off without pay. This shall not be considered the same as a leave of absence. An employee off on leave without pay shall not accrue sick leave and vacation.
