Declining Re-employment. a. A participant may decline an offer of re-employment during any academic year. However, the participant has a professional obligation to notify the University of such a decision sufficiently in advance of the participant’s anticipated start date. Such a decision shall not extend the period of re-employment beyond the period described in Section 24.6(5) b. At the conclusion of the re- employment period, the university may, at its option, continue to re-employ participants in this program on a year-to-year basis.
