Common use of Deliberative Body Clause in Contracts

Deliberative Body. NVTA shall act as the countywide deliberative body for discussions of inter-jurisdictional issues relating to land use, infrastructure, the economy and economic development, community development, and environmental issues. No subject may be deliberated unless a majority of votes, as determined by Section 4.3.1 (f) (2) of this Agreement, of the Board has approved such deliberations. The NVTA may adopt decisions on such matters, but its decisions shall constitute recommendations to the Member Jurisdictions only, and shall have no binding effect. Final decision making on all matters affecting Member Jurisdictions shall remain with the governing body of each Member, except as provided by Sections 5.2 (a) through (p) inclusive, of this Joint Powers Agreement, state or federal law, and applicable regulations.
