Common use of Department Access Clause in Contracts

Department Access. The CHC-MCO must provide Department staff access to appropriate on-site private office space and equipment. The CHC-MCO must grant the Department, CMS, HHS OIG, the Comptroller General, or their designees to audit, evaluate, and inspect books, records, etc., which pertain to the delivery of or payment for Medicaid services. Subcontractor must make books, records, premises, equipment, etc. all available for an audit at any time. Right to inspect extends for ten (10) years after termination of Agreement, or conclusion of an audit, whichever is later. In addition to other access requirements, the CHC-MCO must provide the Department with access to administrative policies and procedures pertaining to operations, including, but not limited to:  Personnel policies and procedures.  Procurement policies and procedures.  Public relations and marketing policies and procedures.  Operations policies and procedures.  Policies and procedures developed to comply with this Agreement.
