DEPARTMENT DIRECTIVES. A. Clinical Policy Team 1. The Department clinical policy team will: a. develop, revise, and monitor the implementation of Department clinical services policies, procedures, protocols, and managed care policies; b. review and approve each facility or program’s clinical service procedures, and protocols; c. oversee the drug formulary; d. make medical, dental, vision, and mental health administrative judgments based on policies and protocols; e. provide policy guidance and oversight to offender health care professionals; f. monitor the level and quality of facility and program clinical services to ensure compliance with all applicable standards; g. oversee the Department’s health care-related, continuous quality improvement program; h. provide professional direction and leadership; and i. guide the Department’s compliance with adult and youth health-related legal standards.
DEPARTMENT DIRECTIVES. A. Pharmaceutical Distribution 1. Health care providers will procure, dispense, and administer pharmaceuticals in accordance with all state and federal regulations. 2. An unlicensed person may observe an offender self-administer medications, give verbal prompts or reminders, or hand a prefilled labeled medication holder to the offender.
DEPARTMENT DIRECTIVES. The Agency will provide the Union with all changes to USDA Orders, Directives, Manuals, Departmental Regulations, and other issuances relating to personnel policies, practices, procedures, and matters affecting working conditions of the Bargaining Unit, regardless of whether this Agreement takes precedence over such Orders, Directives, Manuals, Departmental Regulations, and other issuances.

  • Department Chairpersons 17.1 In each elementary, middle and senior high school, the need for department chairpersons/team leaders shall be determined by the principal. Each such department chairperson/team leader shall be appointed for one (1) academic year. If possible, such appointment should be made prior to the end of the preceding academic year. Teachers shall have the right to refuse such appointment. Team leaders will have coordinating and planning functions for their teams and shall serve as liaison between their teams and the principal. They shall not be considered administrative employees. 17.2 When feasible, and after consultation with them, department chairpersons and team leaders will be provided with release time commensurate with the responsibilities assigned to them by their principal.

  • Health & Safety Committee The Employer agrees to establish a Health & Safety Committee for all employees of the company under the auspices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). The Committee shall be made up of an equal number (not less than one each) of non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit persons who have completed their probationary period. The Union has the right to appoint the members representing the bargaining unit. The Committee shall keep minutes of its meetings and post them in the shop. One copy will be forwarded to the Union office.

  • Department The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities or any successor state agency.

  • Health and Safety Committee Where required a committee will be formed and will meet where required by the Employer’s safety policies and by statute.

  • Grievance Commissioner System This is to confirm the discussion of the parties during collective bargaining that they are committed to encouraging early discussion and resolution of labour relations issues at the local level and seek to resolve grievances in a timely and cost efficient manner. To that end, this is to confirm that pursuant to Article 8, the parties agree that the Employer and Union at individual nursing homes may agree to utilize the following process in order to resolve a particular grievance through the utilization of a joint mediation-arbitration procedure:
