Department Initiated Clause Samples

The 'Department Initiated' clause defines the circumstances and procedures under which a department may take action to start or modify a process, contract, or agreement. Typically, this clause outlines the authority of the department to initiate changes, requests, or terminations, and may specify notification requirements or conditions that must be met before such actions are valid. For example, it might allow a department to unilaterally begin a procurement process or amend service terms if certain criteria are satisfied. The core function of this clause is to provide the department with flexibility and control, ensuring it can respond to changing needs or priorities without unnecessary delays.
