California State Department of Parks and Recreation owns and operates Carmel River State Beach the property adjacent to Odello East on the west side of Highway One. Big Sur Land Trust. The Big Sur Land Trust (BSLT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation whose mission is to conserve the significant lands and waters of the Central Coast. BSLT owns a portion of the Odello East property (APN 243-071-005) and has a conservation easement over additional lands on the property (APN 243-071-004).
