Digital Operational Resilience Act Sample Clauses

The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is a regulatory framework designed to ensure that financial entities maintain robust digital operational resilience against information and communication technology (ICT) risks. It sets out requirements for risk management, incident reporting, digital operational testing, and third-party risk oversight for banks, insurers, and other financial institutions. For example, it may require firms to regularly test their IT systems for vulnerabilities and to have contingency plans for cyber incidents. The core function of this clause is to strengthen the financial sector’s ability to withstand and recover from ICT-related disruptions, thereby reducing systemic risk and protecting consumers.
