Disapproval of Selected Assignments. In circumstances where the Chief of Police personally determines that a member could not effectively perform the requested assignment, the Chief of Police reserves the right to disapprove the assignment of a member in the following areas: (1) Covert Operations (2) Internal Affairs Bureau (3) Inspections Section of the Professional Standards Bureau (4) Legal Section (5) Police Net Operations Unit (6) Recruit and Advanced Training Units of the Training Bureau

If a member's assignment has been disapproved, the Chief of Police shall explain, to the extent possible, the reasons for such disapproval upon request of the member.
