Common use of Early Return to Work Clause in Contracts

Early Return to Work. The Employer and the Union are committed to early return to work for employees absent due to illness or injury where an accommodation is reasonably available based on the employee’s limitations as determined by the employee’s physician or other treating health care professional where such accommodation does not result in undue hardship to the Employer. All Employees participating in an Early Return to Work program shall be supernumerary. The employee and Employer designate, the Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and the employee’s immediate supervisor will meet to agree on a suitable program. Where a program involves a temporary or permanent accommodation, a labour relations officer shall be included in developing the agreement.
