Common use of Editorial Control Clause in Contracts

Editorial Control. For the avoidance of doubt the BBC shall have editorial control over the Programme and shall not be bound to make a Programme or use the Work or any part thereof in any way and if it does not do so shall not be liable to the Writer in any way for any loss or damage suffered by the Writer thereby or any failure to obtain publicity or any opportunity to enhance the reputation of the Writer.
