Education Program and Curriculum. 1. Any material change to the School’s current education program and/or curriculum and/or any material change to what is described in the approved Renewal Application or Charter requires Sponsor approval and shall be submitted to the Sponsor for consideration by May 1st in any given year for the subsequent school year. 2. The School agrees to implement its educational and related programs as specified in the Renewal Application unless otherwise modified by this Charter. 3. The School shall make reading a primary focus of the curriculum and provide sufficient resources to identify and provide specialized instruction for students who are reading below grade level. The reading curriculum and instructional strategies shall be consistent with Florida Standards and grounded in scientifically-based reading research. 4. The School shall adopt the Sponsor’s plan for English Language Learners, or submit an alternate Sponsor approved plan prior to the execution of this Contract. The plan must include sufficient information and detail to allow the Sponsor to determine legal sufficiency.
