Eligibility and Service. When a promotional examination is held for the promoted rank of Detective, no person shall be eligible to take the examination unless he or she has served three (3) years beyond the successful completion of the one (1) year probation period in the rank of entry level Police Officer with the City of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ prior to the actual date of the expiration of the current promotional list for the rank of Detective.
