Eligibility for Continuing Contract. Teachers shall be eligible for continuing contract status in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 3319.08, provided that no teacher shall be deemed eligible for a continuing contract, nor be deemed employed on a continuing contract by operation of law, unless the Ohio Department of Education issued a professional, permanent, life teaching certificate, or educator’s license to that teacher before February 1 of the year in which the teacher's limited contract is to expire, and a copy of the certificate or license is filed in the Superintendent's office by February
