EMERGENCIES AND NATURAL DISASTERS. In the event of an emergency or natural disaster, Contractor shall make available, to the maximum extent possible, transportation and communications services and facilities to assist HTA in amelioration such incidents. To the extent HTA requires Contractor to provide such emergency services and facilities, Contractor shall be relieved of the obligation to fulfill the duties and responsibilities to operate Dial-A- Ride as herein described. Further, Contractor shall be entitled to be paid reasonable compensation for providing such emergency services and facilities, provided however, that the amount of such compensation and time of its payment shall be mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and HTA following the conclusion of the emergency or disaster, or at such other time as they may mutually agree.
