Emergency Change Orders Clause Samples

The Emergency Change Orders clause allows for immediate modifications to a contract or project scope in response to urgent, unforeseen circumstances that require prompt action. Typically, this clause enables one party—often the project manager or owner—to authorize changes without following the standard, lengthier approval process, provided the situation poses a risk to safety, property, or project continuity. Its core function is to ensure that critical issues can be addressed swiftly, minimizing delays and mitigating potential harm or loss.
