Common use of Emergency Use Clause in Contracts

Emergency Use. An employee called to emergency official business during off-duty hours when a County car is not available shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary mileage traveled in connection with such emergency. The emergency shall be deemed official business if the employee's time is approved as hours worked pursuant to the department's overtime policy. Reimbursement shall be made in accordance with the County's private mileage reimbursement rates.
