Employee and Immediate Supervisor. In the event the grievance cannot be resolved informally, the employee and/or Union representative may advance the grievance by presenting it in writing to the employee’s immediate supervisor within ten (10) calendar days from the date the em- ployee knew or should reasonably have known of the event which caused the grievance. The grievance shall state the contractual articles violated and the relief sought. The immediate supervisor or designee shall respond in writing to the employee within ten (10) calendar days following receipt of the written grievance.
