ENACTMENT Clause Samples
The Enactment clause defines when and how a contract or agreement becomes legally effective and binding on the parties involved. Typically, this clause specifies the date or conditions under which the agreement takes effect, such as upon signature by all parties or upon the occurrence of a particular event. Its core practical function is to provide certainty and clarity regarding the commencement of the parties' rights and obligations, thereby preventing disputes about when the contract is enforceable.
