English Language – Other Language Preferences Sample Clauses

The English Language – Other Language Preferences clause establishes which language version of a contract or agreement will take precedence in case of discrepancies between multiple language versions. Typically, it specifies that the English version is the official and controlling document, even if translations are provided for convenience. This clause is especially important in international agreements where parties may speak different native languages, as it ensures consistency and avoids misunderstandings by clarifying which language governs the interpretation of the contract.

As a courtesy, we make some of our forms, disclosures and documents, including this agreement, available in languages other than English. However, many important bank documents, and some products and services related to this account, are provided only in English. If there is any difference in meaning between the English and non-English version of any of our documents, the English version applies and is available upon request.
