Common use of Enrichment Clause in Contracts

Enrichment. These are courses not considered a condition of employment but those which may contribute to improved efficiency and/or work quality. If an employee requests or is requested to take an enrichment course, subject to approval by the City Manager, the employee will receive reimbursement for tuition and books under the following conditions: NOTE: This benefit subject to budgetary approval by the Commission. 1. Upon satisfactorily completing the course; and 2. If the employee remains in the City's employment for twelve (12) months beyond the completion of the course. If the twelve-month requirement is not met, the reimbursement may be deducted from the employee's last paycheck received, to the extent provided by law.
