ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS. A. Assist the bus driver with non-driving duties that the Aide has been trained for including, but not limited to, assist with boarding and deboarding students and the securing of restraint systems. B. Lift and position children on the bus. C. Supervise students who are being transported from home to school and from school to home. D. Report symptoms of illness to the teacher and parent/guardian. E. Report incidence of inappropriate behavior to the school principal and parent/guardian.
