Eurocurrency-based Interest Payments Clause Samples

The Eurocurrency-based Interest Payments clause defines how interest is calculated and paid on obligations that are denominated in Eurocurrencies, such as loans or deposits held in currencies outside their home markets. Typically, this clause specifies the reference rate (like LIBOR or EURIBOR) and the calculation period for interest accrual, and may outline procedures for determining rates if the standard benchmark is unavailable. Its core function is to ensure both parties have a clear, agreed-upon method for determining interest payments on international financial transactions, thereby reducing uncertainty and potential disputes over payment amounts.
