Examination Arrangements. The language of the thesis, summary and oral examination will be English (unless where stated otherwise). Students should submit sufficient copies of a thesis for each of the examiners, and an additional copy for each institution. Additional copies of the thesis may also need to be submitted to meet the requirements of individual institutions. The thesis and the examination process should meet the criteria for the joint award of both institutions. Where the procedures of both institutions are substantially different, an agreement must be drawn up which satisfies the minimum requirements of both institutions. Such arrangements will be agreed in advance of any students being admitted by the two Parties and appended to this Agreement. The examination board should comprise of a minimum of one examiner from each of the institutions outlined in the student contracts, and a minimum of one examiner external to both institutions. Additional examiners from either institution of the two institutions, or external to both Parties may be appointed. There should be a minimum of 3 voting members on the panel and not more than 5. The joint supervisors may attend the viva voce as silent observers. There should normally be one formal oral examination at which all the examiners are in attendance. The oral examination will take place at a mutually agreed location as set out in the Student Contract. All examiners are required to submit independent written reports of the thesis to each institution prior to the examination and within the time frame, as stipulated by the relevant regulations. After examining the thesis presented by the student and considering the results of any oral examination which they have conducted the examiners, at their discretion the examiners will recommend to the institutions appropriate action. Examiners will be expected to submit a final joint report to each institution for approval. The institutional costs of the viva voce examination will be paid jointly by the two institutions unless alternative arrangements are specified in the Student Contract. Should a second examination be required the allocation of costs will be at the discretion of the two institutions concerned. At the end of a successful examination the student will be awarded, in accordance with the regulations of the respective Parties, a joint award.   • Eye Examinations For all covered EMPLOYEES required to use VDTs on average at least two (2) hours per day, the Department will provide a base line eye examination at the Occupational Safety and Health facility ("OSH"), followed by an eye examination at OSH once a year.

  • AUDITS AND EXAMINATIONS 8.1. Each Party to this Agreement will be responsible for the accuracy and quality of its data as submitted to the other Party involved. Subject to each Party’s reasonable security requirements and except as may be otherwise specifically provided in this Agreement, either Party, at its own expense, may audit the other Party’s books, records and other documents directly related to billing and invoicing once in any twelve (12) month period for the purpose of evaluating the accuracy of the other Party’s billing and invoicing. "Audit" shall mean a comprehensive review of bills for services performed under this Agreement; "Examination" shall mean an inquiry into a specific element of or process related to bills for services performed under this Agreement. Either party (the “Requesting Party”) may perform one (1) Audit per twelve (12) month period commencing with the Effective Date, with the assistance of the other Party, which will not be unreasonably withheld. The Audit period will include no more than the preceding twelve (12) month period as of the date of the Audit request. The Requesting Party may perform Examinations, as it deems necessary, with the assistance of the other Party, which will not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Medical Examinations An employee may be required by the Employer, at the request of and at the expense of the Employer, to take a medical examination by a physician of the employee's choice. Employees may be required to take skin tests, x-ray examination, vaccination, inoculation and other immunization (with the exception of a rubella vaccination when the employee is of the opinion that a pregnancy is possible), unless the employee's physician has advised in writing that such a procedure may have an adverse affect on the employee's health.

  • Field Examinations At the Administrative Agent’s sole option, the Administrative Agent shall have completed its field examinations of the Borrower’s books and records, assets, and operations which examinations will be satisfactory to the Administrative Agent in its sole and absolute discretion.

  • Examinations The Company has not received any notice that any Employee Benefit Plan is currently the subject of an audit, investigation, enforcement action or other similar proceeding conducted by any state or federal agency or authority.
