Common use of EXCHANGE OF ANNUAL LEAVE LOADING FOR EXTRA LEAVE Clause in Contracts

EXCHANGE OF ANNUAL LEAVE LOADING FOR EXTRA LEAVE. 5.6.1. Staff members may volunteer, in January each year, to receive three and one-half (3.5) days’ leave in addition to annual leave. In return they will forfeit their entitlement to payment of annual leave loading in the calendar year in which the additional leave is credited. These three and a half extra days’ leave will be taken in accordance with normal MSA leave processes, but are non-cumulative and must be taken prior to 31 December in any given calendar year. 5.6.2. Staff with any excessive annual leave as defined in Clause 5.7 or long service leave credits as defined in Clause 5.12.6 are not eligible to participate in clause 5.6. 5.6.3. Exit from the scheme is open only in January each year.
