Exclusive Representative Stewards Clause Samples

The 'Exclusive Representative Stewards' clause designates specific individuals or positions as the sole authorized representatives of a union or employee group within a workplace. These stewards are typically responsible for handling grievances, representing employees in discussions with management, and ensuring the enforcement of collective bargaining agreements. By clearly identifying who may act on behalf of the employees, this clause streamlines communication, prevents confusion over representation, and ensures that both management and employees know who to approach for official labor matters.
Exclusive Representative Stewards. The Exclusive Representative may designate one (1) bargaining unit employee from each work site to act as the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, and shall inform the District in writing of such choice. The two (2) stewards shall be afforded up to one (1) hour per week to be divided between them to perform and discharge the duties that are properly assigned under the terms of this Agreement provided that a qualified substitute has been procured if necessary. The Stewards shall not be permitted time beyond the aforementioned total of one (1) hour per week during regular working hours to process grievance and transmit messages.
